What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it? LK 15:4 And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing. LK 15:5 And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost. LK 15:6 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just [righteous] persons, which need no repentance. LK 15:7
REPENT Either [or] what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it? LK 15:8 And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost. LK 15:9 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth. LK 15:10 REPENT And he said, A certain man had two sons: LK 15:11 And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods [the estate WU] that falleth to me. And [so WU] he divided unto [between] them his living [assets WU]. LK 15:12 And not many days after the younger son gathered all [he had WU] together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance [wealth WU] with riotous [wild WU] living. LK 15:13 And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want [need]. LK 15:14 And he went and joined [hired WU] himself [out WU] to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine [pigs]. LK 15:15 And he would fain have filled [longed to fill WU] his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave [any] unto him. LK 15:16 And when he came to himself [his senses WU], he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! LK 15:17 I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before [against WU] thee, LK 15:18 And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants. LK 15:19 And he arose, and came [went WU] to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck [threw his arms around him WU], and kissed him. LK 15:20 And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight [against you WU], and am no more worthy to be called thy son. LK 15:21 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet: LK 15:22 And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry: LK 15:23 For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry. LK 15:24 REPENT Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh [near] to the house, he heard musick and dancing. LK 15:25 And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant. LK 15:26 And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him [back] safe and sound. LK 15:27 And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated [pleaded with WU] him. LK 15:28 And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do [have] I serve[d] thee, neither [never] transgressed [disobeyed] I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid [goat WU], that I might make merry with my friends: LK 15:29 But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living [assets WU] with harlots [prostitutes], thou hast killed for him the fatted calf. LK 15:30 And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever [always] with me, and all that I have is thine. There was a certain rich man, which had a steward [manager]; and the same was accused unto him [the manager was accused WU] that he had wasted his goods [possessions]. LK 16:1 And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward. LK 16:2 Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do? for my lord taketh away from me the stewardship: I cannot [don't have strength to] dig; to beg I am ashamed. LK 16:3 I am resolved what to do, [so] that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they [people WU] may receive [welcome WU] me into their houses. LK 16:4 So he called every one of his lord's debtors unto him, and said unto the first, How much owest thou unto my lord? LK 16:5 And he said, An hundred measures of oil. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and sit down quickly, and write fifty. LK 16:6 Then said he to another, And how much owest thou? And he said, An hundred measures of wheat. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and write fourscore [eighty]. LK 16:7 And the [his] lord commended the unjust [dishonest] steward, because he had done wisely [shrewdly WU]: for the children of this world are in their generation [in dealing with their contemporaries WU] wiser than the children of light. LK 16:8 And I say unto you, Make to [for] yourselves friends [by means] of the mammon of unrighteousness [worldly wealth WU]; [so] that, when ye fail [it runs out WU], they may receive you into everlasting habitations [dwellings WU]. LK 16:18 RELATIONS Divorce There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously [lived in luxury] every day: LK 16:19 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, LK 16:20 And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. LK 16:21 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; LK 16:22 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom [at his side WU]. LK 16:23 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. LK 16:24 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil [bad] things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. LK 16:25 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf [chasm WU] fixed: so that they which would [want to] pass from hence [here] to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence [there]. LK 21:13 Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before[hand] what ye shall answer [to defense yourselves WU]: LK 21:14 For I will give you a mouth [words] and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay [contradict] nor resist. LK 21:15 And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren [brothers], and kinsfolks [relatives], and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death. LK 21:16 And ye shall be hated of [by] all men for my name's sake [because of me WU]. LK 21:17 But there shall not an [a] hair of your head perish. LK 21:18 In [by] your patience [endurance] possess ye your souls [you will gain life WU]. LK 21:19 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed [surrounded] with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh [near]. LK 21:20 Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it [the city WU] depart out; and let not them that are in the countries [country] enter thereinto [into the city WU]. LK 21:21 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. LK 21:22 But woe unto them that are with child [pregnant], and to them that give suck [nurse infants], in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people. LK 21:23 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden [trampled] down of [by] the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. LK 21:24 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; LK 21:25 Men's hearts failing them for [from WU] fear, and for looking after [apprehension of WU] those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. LK 21:26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. LK 21:27 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh [near]. LK 21:28 And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees; LK 21:29 When they now shoot forth [leaves WU], ye see and know of [for WU] your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand. LK 21:30 So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand. LK 21:31 Verily [most assuredly] I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled. LK 21:32 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. LK 21:33 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting [loaded down with dissipation WU], and drunkenness, and cares [the worries WU] of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares [unexpectedly WU]. LK 21:34 For as a snare [trap WU] shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. LK 21:35 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. LK 21:36

Go and prepare us the passover, that we may eat. LK 22:8 And they said unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare? LK 22:9 And he said unto them, Behold, when ye are entered into the city, there shall a man meet you, bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he entereth in. LK 22:10 And ye shall say unto the goodman [master] of the house, The Master [Teacher] saith unto thee, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples? LK 22:11 And he shall shew you a large upper room furnished: there make ready. LK 22:12 And they went, and found [things] as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover. LK 22:13

With desire [earnestness] I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer: LK 22:15 For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God. LK 22:16 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves: LK 22:17 For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine [again], until the kingdom of God shall come. LK 22:18 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. LK 22:19 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament [covenant] in my blood, which is shed [poured out] for you. LK 22:20 But, behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me is with me on the table. LK 22:21 And truly the Son of man [will WU] goeth, [just WU] as it was determined: but woe unto that man by whom he is betrayed! LK 22:22

The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship [lord it] over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors. LK 22:25 But ye shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as [like WU] the younger; and he that is chief [governing], as he that doth serve. LK 22:26 For whether [who] is greater, he that sitteth at meat [the table], or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth. LK 22:27 SERVING Humility Ye are they [those] which have continued with me in my temptations [trials]. LK 22:28 And I appoint unto [confer on] you a kingdom, [just WU] as my Father hath appointed unto me; LK 22:29 That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel. LK 22:30 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you [Satan has asked WU], that he may sift you as wheat: LK 22:31 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted [have turned back WU], strengthen thy brethren. LK 22:32 PERSECUTION Journeying And he said unto him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to death. LK 22:33 And he [Jesus WU] said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock [rooster] shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice [three times] deny that thou knowest me. LK 22:34 And he said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip [travel bag WU], and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing. LK 22:35 Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip [travel bag WU]: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment [cloak], and buy one. LK 22:36 PERSECUTION Love the Harmer For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished [fulfilled] in me, And he was reckoned among [counted with] the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end [are reaching fulfillment WU]. LK 22:37 And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said unto them, It [that] is enough. LK 22:38

(It is greater to serve, and one can lead from there. Satan may persecute you for a while, but Jesus helps you stay faithful. Loving your enemies can be quite different from defending yourself from someone who is trying to kill you. Pray that you will not fall into temptation.)

Pray that ye enter not into temptation. LK 22:40 ASK GOD OVERCOME YOUR HARMFULNESS Our Frailty And he was withdrawn [withdrew WU] from them about a stone's cast [throw], and kneeled down, and prayed, LK 22:41 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. LK 22:42

Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. LK 22:46

Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss? LK 22:48

Suffer ye thus far [enough of this WU]

Be ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and staves [clubs]? LK 22:52 When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and [that of WU] the power of darkness. LK 22:53

Before the cock [rooster] crow, thou shalt deny me [three times] thrice. LK 22:61 And Peter went out, and wept bitterly. LK 22:62

If I tell you, ye will not believe: LK 22:67 And if I also ask you, ye will not answer me, nor let me go. LK 22:68 Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on [at] the right hand of the power of God. LK 22:69 Then said they all, Art thou then the Son of God? And he said unto them, Ye [are right to WU] say that I am. LK 22:70 And they said, What [why] need we any further witness? for we ourselves have heard of [it from WU] his own mouth. LK 22:71

Thou sayest it [so]

Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children. LK 23:28 For, behold, the days are coming, in the which they shall say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bare [bore], and the paps [breasts] which never gave suck [nursed]. LK 23:29 Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to the hills, Cover us. LK 23:30 For if they do these things in a green tree [when the tree is green WU], what shall be done in the [when it is WU} dry? LK 23:31

Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.

And one of the malefactors [criminals] which were hanged [there WU] railed on [insulted] him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us. LK 23:39 But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in [under] the same [sentence of WU] condemnation? LK 23:40 And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss [wrong]. LK 23:41 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. LK 23:42 And Jesus said unto him, Verily [assuredly] I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise. LK 23:43 HELPS BELIEVE Humility

Father, into thy hands I commend [commit] my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost [breathed his last]. LK 23:46

(Humility helps people find Jesus even while dying.)

Why seek ye the living among the dead? LK 24:5 He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto [told] you when he was yet in Galilee, LK 24:6 Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again. LK 24:7 And they remembered his words, LK 24:8

What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad? LK 24:17

What things?

O fools [foolish men], and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: LK 24:25 KEEPS FROM BELIEVING Insensitivity Ought not [was it not necessary for the WU] Christ to have suffered these things, and [then WU] to enter into his glory? LK 24:26 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself. LK 24:27

(Jesus is our Life! Through His death on the cross and resurrection three days later we receive forgiveness of our sins and eternal life, when we repent and believe in Him as the Christ, the Son of God. Then God lives in us! Go tell others the gospel so they can have Him too! Don't be afraid! God will enable you and bless you with peace, so have no fear. Don't be insensitive to His words!)

Peace be unto you. LK 24:36 BLESSINGS Peace But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit [ghost WU]. LK 24:37 And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts [doubts] arise in your hearts? LK 24:38 BELIEVE No Fear Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle [touch] me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. LK 24:39 And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet. LK 24:40 And while they yet believed not for [because of their WU] joy, and wondered [were amazed WU], he said unto them, Have ye here any meat? LK 24:41 And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb. LK 24:42 And he took it, and did eat before them. LK 24:43 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto [this is what I told] you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. LK 24:44 Then opened he their understanding [minds], that they might understand the scriptures, LK 24:45 NEED GOD He Enables And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved [was necessary for the] Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: LK 24:46 And that repentance REPENT and remission [forgiveness WU] of sins should [will WU] be preached in his name BELIEVE Save among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. LK 24:47 JESUS Life And ye are witnesses of these things. LK 24:48 And, behold, I [am going to WU] send the promise of [what was promised by WU] my Father upon you: but tarry ye [wait] in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued [clothed] with power from on high.
