And as he [Jesus WU] said these things unto them, the scribes [experts in the law WU] and the Pharisees began to urge [oppose WU] him vehemently [fiercely WU], and to provoke him to speak of [ask him questions about WU] many things: LK 11:53 Laying [in] wait for him, and seeking to catch something out of his mouth [catch him in something he might say], that they might accuse him. LK 11:54

In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode [trampled] one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven [yeast] of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. LK 12:1 UNBELIEF Deceit For there is nothing covered [up], that shall not be revealed; neither hid[den], that shall not be [made WU] known. LK 12:2 Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops. LK 12:3 JUDGEMENT By Christ And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. LK 12:4 But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea [yes], I say unto you, Fear him. LK 12:5 Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings [pennies WU], and not one of them is forgotten before [by] God? LK 12:6 But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows. LK 12:7 Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess [acknowledge WU] me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God: LK 12:8 But he that denieth [disowns WU] me before men shall be denied before the angels of God. LK 12:9 And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost [Spirit] it shall not be forgiven. LK 12:10 And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates [rulers], and powers [authorities], take ye no thought [don't be anxious] how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say: LK 12:11 For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say. LK 12:12

And one of the company [crowd WU] said unto him, Master [Teacher], speak to my brother, that he [tell him to WU] divide the inheritance with me. LK 12:13 And he said unto him, Man, who made me a judge or a divider [arbitrator] over you? LK 12:14 And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness [greed WU]: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth. LK 12:15 OVERCOME YOUR HARMFULNESS Money & Worldly Things And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought [crops WU] forth plentifully: LK 12:16 And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits [store my crops]? LK 12:17 And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater [bigger ones]; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. LK 12:18 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. LK 12:19 But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul [life WU] shall be required of [demanded from WU] thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided [for yourself WU]? LK 12:20 So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God. LK 12:21 OVERCOME YOUR HARMFULNESS Money & Worldly Things

And he [Jesus WU] said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for [do not worry about WU] your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. LK 12:22 The life is more than meat [food], and the body is more than raiment [clothing]. LK 12:23 Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better [valuable] than the fowls [birds]? LK 12:24 And which of you with taking thought [by worrying WU] can add to his stature [height] one cubit? LK 12:25 If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least [this small thing WU], why take ye thought for the rest? LK 12:26 Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. LK 12:27 If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the [fire to heat the WU] oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith? LK 12:28 And seek not ye [don't be overly concerned about WU] what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. LK 12:29 For all these things do the nations of the world seek [run WU] after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. LK 12:30 But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you [as well WU]. LK 12:31 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. LK 12:32 Sell that [which] ye have, and give alms [to the poor WU]; APPLY Give provide yourselves bags [purses] which wax not old [don't wear out WU], a treasure in the heavens [in heaven WU] that faileth not [is not exhausted WU], where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth. LK 12:33 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. LK 12:34 OVERCOME YOUR HARMFULNESS Money & Worldly Things Let your loins be girded about [be dressed for service WU], and [keep WU] your lights burning; LK 12:35 And ye yourselves [be] like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately. LK 12:36 Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find [them WU] watching: verily [most assuredly] I say unto you, that he shall gird [dress] himself [to serve WU], and make them to sit down to meat [at the table WU], and will come forth and serve them. LK 12:37 And if he shall come in the second watch [of the night WU], or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants. LK 12:38 And this know, that if the goodman [master] of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered [allowed] his house to be broken through [into]. LK 12:39 Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not [don't expect]. LK 12:40 APPLY Don't Wait Then Peter said unto him, Lord, speakest thou this parable unto us, or even to all? LK 12:41 And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler [put in charge WU] over his household [servants WU], to give them their portion of meat [food] in due season [at the right times]? LK 12:42 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. LK 12:43 Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath. LK 12:44 But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken; LK 12:45 The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder [half], and will appoint him his portion [place WU] with the unbelievers. LK 12:46 And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes [blows WU]. LK 12:47 But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed [entrusted] much, of him they will ask the more. LK 12:48 APPLY Don't Wait I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be [and how I wish it were WU] already kindled? LK 12:49 But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened [how distressed I am] [un]till it be accomplished! LK 12:50 Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay [no]; but rather division: LK 12:51 For from henceforth [now on] there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three. LK 12:52 The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. LK 12:53

And he said also to the people, When ye see a cloud rise out of the west, straightway [immediately] ye say, There cometh a shower; and so it is [does WU]. LK 12:54 And when ye see the south wind blow, ye say, There will be heat; and it cometh to pass. LK 12:55 Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this [present WU] time? LK 12:56 Yea, and why even of yourselves judge ye not what is right [why don't you judge for yourselves what is right]? LK 12:57 When thou goest with thine adversary to the magistrate, as thou art in [on] the way, give diligence that thou mayest be delivered from him [try diligently to settle with him WU]; lest he hale [drag] thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and the officer cast thee into prison. LK 12:58 I tell thee, thou shalt not depart thence [from there WU], till thou hast paid the very last mite [penny]. LK 12:59 There were present at that season [same time] some that told him [Jesus WU] of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled [mixed] with their sacrifices. LK 13:1 And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above [worse than] all the [other] Galilaeans, because they suffered such things? LK 13:2 I tell you, Nay [no]: but, except [unless] ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. LK 13:3 Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? LK 13:4 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. LK 13:5 REPENT He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none. LK 13:6 Then said he unto the dresser [worker WU] of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it [should it deplete WU] the ground [soil]? LK 13:7 And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about [around] it, and dung [fertilize] it: LK 13:8 And if it bear fruit, well [fine]: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down. LK 13:9 APPLY Don't Wait
