Repent

Core Interrelations

CONSOLIDATION:
In the beginning, Jesus is God. Repent, turn your hearts to God, because He's coming this way. "The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!" Go tell everyone.

And he shall go before him [the Lord WU] in the spirit and power of Elias [Elijah WU], to turn the hearts of the fathers to the[ir WU] children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord. LK 1:17 (speaking of John the Baptist)

Repent, confess your harmfulness, your harmdoing, prepare the way for the Lord to come into your life.

"I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."  LK 5:32, MT 9:12-13, MK 2:15-17

Recognize the harmful desires in your heart and value overcoming them (even though people may approve of them), showing the Lord you care about Him and His way of life, his everlasting principles.

Repent, turn from your own sinful (harmful) ways, turn to God, choose to do His will and you will be enabled to experience the reality of Jesus Christ and truly believe in him for salvation into a new life with God.

Repentance is shown by how we try to apply the principles.

To begin with, repent, repent, repent of things like your preoccupation with money and worldly things.

Give a large portion of your wealth to the poor (see also LK 19:1-10), and don't wait. Be ready to meet the Lord.

Turn, and forcefully do things in the other direction, toward the Lord.

Those who repent will be cleansed by and given life in the Holy Spirit (Jesus will baptize us with the Holy Spirit), but will also pass through trials.

Repentance and forgiveness of sins (the harm you've done) through Jesus bring life and peace.

Miraculous power available to the humble believer who repents of his sin (harmfulness); use that power to save people.

Repent and follow Jesus, and then call others to repent and follow Jesus.

Jesus is our Life! Through His death on the cross and resurrection three days later we receive forgiveness of our sins and eternal life, when we repent and believe in Him as the Christ, the Son of God. Then God lives in us! Go tell others the gospel so they can have Him too!

We all must repent or perish. Though the Lord is patient, our time does have a limit.

God will throw those who refuse to repent into unquenchable fire.

If you don't produce good fruit, (apply the principles), you will be thrown into hell.

A godly heritage won't save you.

God will take away the life of anyone who is greedy for possessions and a life of leisure.
