And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. JH 9:1 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? JH 9:2 APPLY Not Easy Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but [this happened so WU] that the works of God should [might] be made manifest [revealed] in him. JH 9:3 APPLY Natural I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. JH 9:4 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. JH 9:5 APPLY Work When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, JH 9:6 And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came [back] seeing. JH 9:7

The neighbours therefore, and they which before had seen him that he was blind, said, Is not this he that sat and begged? JH 9:8 Some said, This is he: others said, He is like him: but he said, I am he. JH 9:9 Therefore said they unto him, How were thine eyes opened? JH 9:10 He answered and said, A man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash: and I went and washed, and I received sight. JH 9:11 Then said they unto him, Where is he? He said, I know not. JH 9:12

They brought to the Pharisees him that aforetime was blind. JH 9:13 And it was the sabbath day when Jesus made the clay, and opened his eyes. JH 9:14 Then again the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. He said unto them, He put clay upon mine eyes, and I washed, and do see. JH 9:15 Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of [from] God, because he keepeth not the sabbath day. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among them. JH 9:16 They say unto the blind man again, What sayest thou of him, that [since WU] he hath opened thine eyes? He said, He is a prophet. JH 9:17 But the Jews did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind, and received his sight, until they called the parents of him that had received his sight. JH 9:18 And they asked them, saying, Is this your son, who ye say was born blind? how then doth he now see? JH 9:19 His parents answered them and said, We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind: JH 9:20 But by what means he now seeth, we know not; or who hath opened his eyes, we know not: he is of age; ask him: he shall speak for himself. JH 9:21 These words spake his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he [Jesus WU] was [the WU] Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue. JH 9:22 Therefore said his parents, He is of age; ask him. JH 9:23 Then again called they the man that was blind, and said unto him, Give God the praise [glory to God]: we know that this man is a sinner. JH 9:24 He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner or no, I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see. JH 9:25 Then said they to him again, What did he to thee? how opened he thine eyes? JH 9:26 He answered them, I have told you already, and ye did not hear [listen]: wherefore [why] would ye hear it again? will [do WU] ye also [want to WU] be his disciples? JH 9:27 Then they reviled [insulted] him, and said, Thou art his disciple; but we are Moses' disciples. JH 9:28 We know that God spake unto Moses: as for this fellow, we know not from whence he is [where he comes from]. JH 9:29 The man answered and said unto them, Why herein is a marvellous [amazing] thing, that ye know not from whence he is, and yet he hath opened mine eyes. JH 9:30 Now we know that God heareth [listens] not [to] sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth. JH 9:31 Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind. JH 9:32 If this man were not of [from] God, he could do nothing. JH 9:33 They answered and said unto him, Thou wast altogether [completely WU] born in sins [sinfulness WU], and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out. JH 9:34

Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on [in] the Son of God? JH 9:35 He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him? JH 9:36 And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee. JH 9:37 And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him. JH 9:38 And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; BLESSINGS A Full Life and that they which see might be made [become] blind. JH 9:39 KEEPS FROM BELIEVING Distractions

And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also? JH 9:40 Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should [would] have no [not be guilty of WU] sin: but now ye say [because you claim WU], We see; therefore your sin remaineth. JH 9:41 KEEPS FROM BELIEVING Pride Verily, verily [most assuredly], I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door [gate WU] into the sheepfold [sheep pen WU], but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. JH 10:1 But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. JH 10:2 To him the porter [gatekeeper] openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. JH 10:3 And when he putteth forth [brings out] his own sheep, he goeth before [ahead of WU] them, PROTECTION and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. JH 10:4 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers. JH 10:5 This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them. JH 10:6 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily [most assuredly], I say unto you, I am the door of [gate for WU] the sheep. JH 10:7 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. JH 10:8 I am the door [gate WU]: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, JESUS Savior and shall go in and out, and find pasture. JH 10:9 BLESSINGS A Full Life The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. JH 10:10 BLESSINGS A Full Life I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth [lays down] his life for the sheep. JH 10:11 JESUS Savior But he that is an hireling [hired hand], and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. JH 10:12 The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep. JH 10:13 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of [by] mine [sheep WU]. JH 10:14 [just WU] As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. JH 10:15 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold [flock WU]: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. JH 10:16 Therefore [for this reason WU] doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, [only WU] that I might take it [up WU] again. JH 10:17 APPLY Not Easy No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself [my own free will WU]. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it [up WU] again. This commandment have I received of [from] my Father. JH 10:18 JESUS Savior

There was a division therefore again among the Jews for [because of] these sayings. JH 10:19 And many of them said, He hath a devil [demon], and is mad [insane]; why hear [listen] ye [to] him? JH 10:20 PERSECUTION Misjudged Others said, These are not the words of him that hath a devil. Can a devil open the eyes of the blind? JH 10:21
